There’s an amazing verse in John chapter 14 and verse 27.
Jesus says to his disciples at a moment of great stress for them.
And I love the fact that Jesus speaks to us even in those moments of tension,
stress and worry that come around our own lives.
And it says in that verse, Jesus says, do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
And so Jesus is directly addressing their anxiety and the worry that’s surrounding
their life in that moment in time.
And I believe today Jesus also wants to speak,
to the things that worry us,
to the anxieties, to the stresses and the fears that,
are surrounding our life.
And the peace that Jesus is offering here is actually a gift.
He says,
because I go to be with the Father, because,
he’s gone to a different place,
a position of an authority,
over this world and over our lives,
we can have confidence that He’s got our best interests at heart.
And when He says He offers peace,
we can really be sure that He has the ability to offer us that deep-seated peace
that the world cannot take.
The circumstances do not affect in any way, shape or form.
So be blessed today.
Reach out, grab hold of in faith the peace that Jesus is offering for you.
